Backfire - Rock We categorize ourselves simply as a rock band, although
we have been called garage, underground, indie, grunge, punk, metal, even
hard pop. but we have found ourselves through music and that is all that
matters. we play for the insides of people, not the outsides. at times there
is a degree of angst, and aggression in our music, but beyond that. we
portray vibe and emotion through our music. some lyrics can be profoundly
interpreted, while others can be trifling contradictions that make no sense
to the point of laughter, but it's only what you get out of it. we play for
ourselves... we enjoy our music and its relentless variation. but we also
hope to reach out to the people who think independently, deeply, or away
from the norm; those who can acknowledge sincerity and honesty; and most of
all those who simply love rock music. party on wayne. phone: 860-659-8397

Embers of Rage - Rock We took six different styles of music combined them together and created
EMBERS OF RAGE in late 2000. The sound we have spun is a high-energy
performance of hard hitting alt-rock. To us it's all about the music,
putting every ounce of energy and sweat into the songs and lyrics we breathe
so our music is explosive to the fans we capture. Our live shows are played
with deep emotion so that the audience consumes us. We strive on making each
show better than the last.
After recording a four song demo in September of 2003 we found that people
wanted more from us. Now we are heading back into the EOR studio for 2004 to
write and record our first full length CD not yet titled. As music changes
over time EMBERS OF RAGE will continue to evolve their musical style; yet at
the same time hang onto their hard rock roots. Our lyrics are very direct
and understandable, people can relate to them, that's something we don't
want to move away from but we will take our sound and expand it.
Our hearts lie with succeeding as a band, to write and promote our music,
but we know as musicians you have to be diversified so we added cover songs
into our mix. The crowd really seems to open their arms and hearts to the
music that is familiar to them. Our goal is to create, then capture the
hearts and ears of the people.

Ethic - Rock ethic (eth' ik)
1. The discipline dealing with
what is good and bad and with moral duty and obligation.
2. A set of moral principles or values.
3. A Connecticut based hard rocking quartet that defies any
exact genre, or classification, as well as defying all those who
said that it couldn't work due to differences in musical
backgrounds within the band. Yet five years and fortey some odd
original songs later Ethic is stronger than ever, and about to
take all those non believer's by storm.
In 1999 ethic recorded and released their first full length cd,
titled "Ghost stories of the 20th century", a fourteen song
collection of the bands first original works. Ethic hit the road
throughout New England opening up,showcasing,or/headlining.
Everywhere they could get one foot in the door, their
instruments followed.
Later that year, the original
drummer departed to pursue other interests, within a week the
lead guitarist would follow. Stephen Pompei, (vocalist, and
rhythm guitarist) and Rick Scarola, (bassist) held two months of
auditions, and finally decided on Aaron Travers, (drummer) and
Dean Cardinale, (lead guitarist). Under this new line-up, Ethic
returned to the studio to record to record their sophomore
project, "Can Anybody Hear Me", which was a collection of some
of the older songs from the first disc and some newer material
which they had been working on. touring behind the second album
got much more serious, opening for some bigger name bands like
Doubledrive, Stephen Piercey, Split Shift, Night Ranger, and
others. In late 2003 Dean Cardinale was
replaced by Rocky Sundgren, and Ethic has been writing new
material on the basis of Sundgren's innovative style ever since.
And there you have it, Ethic
will be returning to the studio to record their 3rd cd
(tentatively entitled, "The Day The Sun Cried") in February
2005. Keep checking the website for release date as well as
the 2005 tour!!! website: www.ethic.com

Final Falling - rock/alternative It all started in November of 2004 when our lead guitarist
John Senia heard that vocalist Gary Fierro and bassist Dan Fortuna had a
band. During that time Gary's band CRYONIC had gone through various drummers
and where on the verge of just stopping and only jam once and a while. This
sucked! So we were all glad when John made contact with us over the internet
one night. John was recently involved in a band before our' s and we all
knew he was a sick guitarist just what we needed to get back into it all.
John joined the band and we had 3 people all we needed was a drummer worthy
enough for CRYONIC! After 1 month of searching over the internet we found an
article online his name was Ray Hilton from Hamden and he played so insanely
that we hired him the first tryout day. Ray completed the band and the next
thing to do was just jam. We started off playing cover's to get used to
playing as a full complete band that got strangely boring. So we started
making originals and that turned out great and we changed our name to Final
Falling. As of right now we are still in the midst of creating our originals
for our first full length album/demo Mass Affliction

Great Dane - rock "If you like your
music alternative, but not too much so, Great Dane is the band for you. Like
Beck, The Smashing Pumpkins/Jimmy Chamberlain, Radiohead, Modest Mouse, and
various others, these artists excel at making accessible music that still
maintains an identity despite its inherent catchiness. Clever and
crystalline, Great Dane is to indie rock what an actual Great Dane puppy is
to dogs; the Dane is still a dog, but you have a feeling that some day it's
going to get a hell of a lot bigger than its peers. If that metaphor doesn't
do anything for you, how about this; if you're sick of all the saccharine
youth pandering modern radio rock generally shoves down your throat, try
this instead.
Clever, wise, and ultimately sophisticated, Great Dane is this writer's pick
of the post rock litter." ~Mark Hensch www.antimusic.com website: www.greatdaneband.com

Rich Genovese - When the 80's band Secret Service was opening for
acts like Michael Bolton, Edgar Winter and The Romantics, Rich laid down the
groove behind the drum kit. His dynamic presence and solid rhythm is a sure
way to keep people on their feet all night long. When Rich plays drums,
people listen . and dance!
Peter Deer - Pete's melodic bass playing is the glue that holds it
all together. His natural smooth, funking style has been a creative force
since the band's formation.
Chris Ainley - Originally from Norwalk CT, Chris was a founding
member of the 80's rock band Live From London. His late dad Warren (jazz

Henst - Rock Henst is a rock/metal band based out of Shelton Connecticut. As a full band
we have been playing together for about 4 months, which isn't that long.
Matt B. and Dan have been playing together on and off for about 4 years and
Matt S. and Matt B. have been jamming a few cover and messing around for
about the same time. In the past year Matt S. and Matt B. decided to get
something going and they called Dan right away to fill the other guitar
slot. Dan brings a lot to the table with is Santana, Page, Tramonti style
guitar playing. While Dan has different musical tastes than both Matt's but
all their roots are the same with Sabbath, Ozzy and Metallica. Where as Both
the Matts are heavily influenced by bands such as Zakk Wylde's Black Label
Society, Pantera, Damageplan, Thunderbrew, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth.
Over the summer of 04 The Matts wrote 2 songs titled " Death By Dishonor" and "Running
Out". Dan learned the songs and Matt sang them. We
all agreed we wanted a real lead singer. someone who has a range. Then we
discovered Sara who brought so much life to this band. And has helped so
much. Sara who is heavily influenced by a wide range of music such as

i - Rock "they're a band, they're local and lo and behold, they write
their own songs. This wouldn't be such a novel concept if we were in any of
the other 49 states, but here in CT we seem to be lacking groups who parade
their own material. The talented five some on Sling Slang Records sounds
like a cross between New Radicals, Kula Shaker and a Bolly-wood movie about
hard rock, effortlessly mixing the expressive sounds of guitar, bass and
drums, with the unmistakably Eastern twang of the sitar." -A.B. Hartford

Livintrust - rock "The idea is to be timeless...not precious." That's the word according to
the group. The crunch of metal guitar for the sake of sounding contemporary
is, if anything, an afterthought; at times existing almost to spite the
current trend rather than kowtowing to it. Instead, blindDRIVE is a
channeling of songs that were desperate to come out, almost as if they had
waited for just the right time to be heard. Twelve tunes unconcerned with
the package in which they are delivered, equally at home in the deafening
volume of any rock bar or in the privacy of your own headphones. Scratch the
surface and suddenly Livintrust defies categorization. In true rock band
fashion, they conceived and wrote the songs that would become blindDRIVE
clustered around haphazardly assembled gear and a 4-track recorder; first in
the sweltering New Haven attic rehearsal space of singer Art Loomer, then in
a maze of band rooms and makeshift studios housed in derelict factory
buildings near Hartford. These enclosing spaces would force inner
concentration and attention to detail, everybody invading the personal
territory of the others, and leave the band no choice but to learn to fly in
formation. And every rock band does it; a near endless procession of
musicians and singers, coming and going until that perfect chemistry is
discovered, a perfect balance acheived. Now Keith Caro and Holden Truelove
could bring with them guitars to pick and choose from an endless bag of
riffs and an infinite number of ideas; Justin Wade sending the notes from a
bass over to drummer Matthew Christopher where they were pounded into songs.
Finally, Art Loomer snarled a lyrical invitation to the curious to come take
a look inside."It's just a fun ride," as one band member put it, though they
take it as seriously as could be expected. Livintrust is at once a band
cohesive and collected, yet teetering on the verge of implosion. Their
sleight of hand is the depth of the content lurking almost out of earshot,
each word beckoning the listener to catch up or be left behind. The common
goal now is to stay balanced. And as long as it matters to someone, what
could be more fun than that? phone: 203-610-1354

Law - Rock Marshall Law is a
5-piece hard drivin' Classic Rock cover band. While
we play nothing 'lite' we'll mix up some Bad
Company, April Wine, Skynyrd, and Top to go with the
harder Sabbath and Priest for examples. Although
considered a powerful band, we care deeply about the
club partnerships we form and work to ensure the
crowd has a great time while the club staff is not
"over"
powered to the point where they can't hear the
orders. Utilizing its two guitar players, both who
play lead and rhythm, Marshall Law shows why this
type of music "works"

Paradygm Shift - Rock Paradygm Shift is a Connecticut-based, Cover/Original band formed in the
Winter of 2001. Since then, they have been working non-stop to be the band
they all wish existed . an entertaining, multi-faceted band who focuses on
their music, not to be considered good, but great! One aspect setting
Paradygm Shift apart from most of the other bands playing the circuit today
is their diversity. The band's music reflects their varied playing styles
and large range of musical influences, which in turn has helped them reach
their goal of being a band that can be enjoyed by a wide spectrum of people
who like different types of music. They subscribe to the theory of
presenting material to their audiences that is not the same regurgitated 5%
that most bands currently tend to play in the clubs. This coupled with the
fact that each band member respects and appreciates the level of
musicianship within the band, enables them to move forward without musical
limitations. From their energy to their professional sound, this is
definitely a band not to be missed! phone: 860.432.4279

Phoenix Tree - Rock We were formed in early summer of 2005 from the very eclectic and popular
open mic at Cousin Larry's Café in Danbury, CT. It was originally called Dan
O and Friends since Dan would pick different musicians or ";friends"; in the
area to jam with him at each open mic or showcase. The current lineup
reflects the musicians and friends who he would like to continue making
music with into the future. We have been described as a cross between Alice
in Chains and Neil Young, circa 1975. Our music is rock but not rock and
roll, and it has room for improvisational jams, but we're not a jamband. Our
influences are Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, U2, Neil Young,

PUSH - Female Hard Rock Together since September of 2002, Push's four members
have been playing their respective instruments since a very young age. Lead
singer Kim Ley got her start while just a teen. Being that her father
was part of the very popular recording band of the sixties, The Crystal
Tones, singing was a huge part of family life At the age of seventeen,
she left home to embark on her music career. Ley was part of many
bands including Nightshift, the heavy metal cover band Vengeance, Phenix,
and Toy Chest. More recently (2002) she recorded a country duet with
singing sensation Lenny Paquet. The single was released on Dark Horse
Records and went to Number 17 on the European charts!
Guitarist Geoff Cone and bass player Colin Cantalupo have also shared the
stage with many great local bands during their time. Cone got his start
learning classical piano when he was nine years old, and at the age of
seventeen he found his true love; the guitar. Cantalupo began playing
guitar at the age of eight and started his first band when he was in seventh
grade. Cone and Cantalupo played with various bands all over
Connecticut until meeting up to further a project known as Dube's Leak.
A few months into the project, Ley joined and that is when the magic
happened. When Dube's Leak ended, the three members decided to continue on
with one another because of the amazing bond they shared. Drummer Marc Dupuis, the newest addition of Push, was hired in June 2003 to
replace Mike Haniffy. A drummer since the age of nine, Dupuis performed for
a year with The Other Half, a Toledo based touring band, playing original
music in the style of Frank Zappa. Other all-original bands included

scene that they could be proud of. With the addition of Kurt on lead guitar
and backup vocals, and the newly acquired drummer, Dan, the sound was

SMFK - Rock SMFK is composed of four individuals set on creating
music that has never been heard by the human ear before. With singles such
as "Down", & "Taken Away", and "Set in Stone", this band seems to be set
apart from all other local bands, and for that matter, mainstream bands as
well. With the sometimes otherworldly and unpredictable chord progressions
of guitarist Wix Gordon, the heavy-hitting and funk-influenced playing
styles of Ryan Clark, and the unique drumming of Nate Ritholtz combined, the
perfect backdrop for the emotionally and melodically driven vocals of Alex
Marans to take flight. CHECK THEM OUT LIVE TO SEE FOR YOURSELF phone: (203)-387-6823

SOL DOG - Jam Rock The members of Sol Dog have been playing on and off with one another for
over a decade. But the true magic began only a couple of years ago, with the
demise of a blues band called Blue News. "Organic" is a word that guitarist
Rev and Keyboardist Ron often use to describe the band's sound. Coming from
backgrounds heavily founded in blues, southern rock, soul music, psychedelic
rock, even folk and jazz, the members of the band have paid careful
attention to the selection of equipment and tones, seeking to bring out a
natural, warm tone. Hammond organs, pianos, and electronics no more
sophisticated than a Fender Rhodes make up the keyboard sound. The guitar
sound is all Fender and Gibson instruments, powered by all-tube technology
through a vintage Marshall rig. A five-string Smith custom bass guitar
through a hand-picked Eden bass rig provides a rich tone for the bass; and
Mark stands by his 20-year-old (and then some) Gretsch thin maple shell drum
kit like a war buddy. The members of this band consider themselves spoiled,
at this point, with their great-sounding gear. But more important than gear
or even years of experience are the thoughts, the ideas, and the influences
that form the sound of Sol Dog. The band is a richly organic mix of
jam-oriented grooves, but the players have so much more to draw upon. From
the Allmans and Little Feat, the Dead and Phish, to James Brown and Buddy
Miles, to Hendrix and even Pink Floyd... From Rush to Jethro Tull, Cat
Stevens to Van Morrison to the Rolling Stones and the Black Crowes, the
members of Sol Dog are not afraid to take their influences and run with
them, and run they do. "Southern rock" is a label that has been thrown at
them, as is "blues"; but this is truly jam music at its best, complete with
well arranged songs, carefully thought out passages, and dynamic vocal
harmonies. Sol Dog will make you want to listen, dance, and think all at
once. Watch your feet. website: www.soldog.com

Soul Bridge - Rock Soul Bridge based in New Haven was formed in early 03. Vocalist Danny
Flores, guitarist Andrew Solano, and drummer Victor Salas all had a love for
music inspired by bands like P.O.D., Sevendust, Chevelle, Incubus, Deftones
, Ill Nino and System Of A Down. They began jamming and having fun with hopes
of finding a bassist. Tom Nunley who had played with Flores earlier joined
afterwards. Nunley's musical background was hip hop and r&b but didn't
conflict with the style that the band was playing so the they felt that he
was the missing piece to completing Soul Bridge. If you want more
information or have any questions email us. email: soulbridge03@yahoo.com

The Tall - Energetic Groove Trip Rock The TaLL was formed in late February of 2003 by a bunch of guys, (neal - vox & guitar, frankus - guitar, ameZzz - bass, rox - drums), who wanted to create some inspired, fun and
heavy music infused with a dose of trippy jamming and a live feel. Imagine Foo Fighters meets Deftones meets Radiohead. After the
band found a place to sleep, play and write, they
helped build a recording studio in a barter deal allowing them to track their first record. After spending 10 weeks with design and build out, and the last piece of gear was patched in, The TaLL began to engineer and produce "Meet The TaLL". This was August of 2003. Completion of tracking and mix prep
was done in October. The record is currently being mixed by Robert Scovill (FOH for Tom Petty, Rush, Prince, Dylan, Rolling Stones) in Arizona; the full-length offering is due out in early 2004. So in the meanwhile, The TaLL is
putting together a memorable live show that is ever changing and always different. The primary goal of 2004 is to support the record; packages are going out and dates will soon start to be put in place. This full-time outfit is comprised of a bunch of rock n roll guys with
the talent, time and persistence to make it all work. Watch out for these guys in 04. website: www.TheTallMusic.com email: thetall@thetallmusic.com

Tune Chic
- Rock Band
The Tune Chic is Sandy Connolly who was originally
trained in the depths of the Southland. Her parents
sent her to school to study classically, but she had
the fortunate opportunity in 1986 to hear Bonnie Raitt in an intimate concert on Martha's
Vineyard. There she found her musical calling: the
blues and rock n' roll. Throwing dirt on her pure
tone and getting all gravely and groovy was way more
fun, and way more people liked to listen to it.
Soon after, she began guitar lessons with the late
Sal Salvador (well-known jazz guitarist in New
England) and studied for three years getting her
groove down. She now joins forces with lots of
musicians in the New Haven area, most notably: lead
guitar player Johnny Memphis, bass player Eric Kuhn,
and drummer Rick Haddad (for The Tune Chic Rock
Band) as well as The Tall Boys Blues Band. phone: 203-457-1467
